Unanswered: Weber Carburettor

Hi,

I'm currently running a Solex carb (32 DIDTA), on a 1.9 block. I'm looking for parts for that carb or a direct weber replacement.

either

WEBER 32/36 CARBURETTOR
or
WEBER 38 DGAS CARBURETTOR

Does anyone have a weber that would just bolt on?

Thanks

Kips

Opel GT Source

Hello,

Opel GT Source sells weber carbs for Opels (direct replacement) but I am sure you can find the exact carb they use in europe. Try to do a search of the forum to find the model number you need.

if the engine is stock look for a vauxhall with a 32/36 dgv so the ports are the right way round or theres a 32/32 dgas type weber that works
the 38/38 dgas is a bit much for the stock motor and will need jetting down to run right

the ford 32/36 dgf has the ports the wrong way round so the mix is bad for the CIH engine

where are you btw

The 32/36 and 38 are both bolt ons, but, if you're running a basically stock 1.9, then go with the 32/36, as it is more "forgiving" than the 38. The 38 WILL HAVE TO BE TUNED to your motor, but, the 32/36 does not have to be. It can be improved by tuning it for your motor and type of driving, but, will run right out of the box. Also, the 32/36 has 3 different chokes: manual (DGS), water (DGAS), and electric (DGES). Get the electric, it's a one wire hookup.
