I found this internal filter while disassembling and cleaning my Weber. My filter is in fair condition, but I would prefer a new clean one. Is this something that can be ordered from Weber or OGTS? If so what's the part number?

we carry that at Overseas Auto. We have all the Weber parts. the part number we use is 3702201000 give us a call, PM or email, phone is 1-800-665-5031 toll free. The cost on these is $2 and the shipping in a padded envelope is $5. This comes in our repair kit.

Paint?

Thanks for the info Jim. i'll keep that in mind and contact you when I'm ready to install it. I recently took my weber apart to clean it and washed it down and scrubbed it. I thought about taking a degreaser to it and after cleaning and drying it, applying a high heat primer, and high heat engine paint to clean up the look?

Any thoughts?

We use a clear enamel paint when we do ours. When we rebuild Weber's, we use Castrol Super Clean, bead blast, then we ultrasonically clean them, blow them out, then we paint them with some clear enamel paint we get from home depot. Then we reassemble. Generally we try to hot test them on a motor....thats if I have a motor available.
