Weber Carb Electric Choke Connection
Opel GT Source included instructions on this when I bought 32/36 carb from them. Should be powered only when key is in "on" position. They suggested the 2nd fuse in from outside of fuse block on side of block with 4 fuses. This is the first answer I have known.

Most use the power coming from the horns. Closer and you don't have to go through the firewall, and yes, they are switched. Or you can remove the ICO and replace it with the "jet" and eliminate any electrical connections. The ICO replacement is available from "bigjim5551212" on this site

The purpose of this wire is to operate the electric choke, a.k.a white circular piece.

1) the ICO, the Idle Control Orifice, a small electronic device that replaces the normal idle jet with a electrically powered solenoid jet that shuts off idle fuel to the carb when the ignition is shut off to prevent "run-on" otherwise known as "dieseling" or 2) the electric choke (in lieu of either a water-heated or manual choke). Both can get their power from any ignition-on power-on source, and as Gene has pointed out, the horn circuit is the preferred source. HTH
