Unanswered: weber vs dellorto

hi to everyone unfortunally one of the webers 45 i had on my stock 2,4 engine gave its spirit and im thinking on searching a bit on carbs but what type will perfomed better on the CIH engine?the weber or the dellorto speaking ofcourse same size carbs on both sides 45 or 48.BY they does any of you have a pair of 48 weber for sale?

how did the weber that you were using work? if it worked well why change brand? im not sure but i think i have heard that you need to take into consideration your elevation also. is this true?

Both Webers and Dell'Ortos are quality Italian carbs - many of each were fitted to European Hi-Performance cars such as Alfa Romeos from the factory.
The Dell'Ortos may be known as 'poorman's Webers' but in some quarters they are considered better 'street' carbs. They are more equivalent to the later DOCM rather than DOCE Webers.
