Question Unanswered: Basic needle/jet/emulsion tube settings for 40 DCOE in 1.9

I'm bringing a pair of 40 DCOE Webers to be rebuilt next week for use on my 'future' engine rebuild project. The guy in the shop asked if I could give him some baseline needle/jet/emulsion tube settings that I wanted to use in them - the shop works mostly on older British cars and Alfas. I traded for these carbs and haven't run DCOE's before, so I'm not sure what would be a good 'baseline' to start with here..

Any suggestions..

BTW: These carbs will go into a fairly warmed over 1.9 w/ 2 - 40 DCOEs, between 9.5-10 comp, larger valves & solid lifters w/ a ballpark figure of between 125-150 hp.

TIA
Hiergehts

Exclamation Twin 40DCOE performance jetting for warmed over CIH 1.9/2.0

Hier gehts:

130 mains
190 airs
F11 emulsion tubes
35 pump jets
34mm chokes
4.5 aux. venturis
40 F9 idles
7.5mm float level shut off height
15mm full drop float setting

These should be VERY close to what your engine needs. Good "cold air" system to feed your twins wouldn't hurt either.

Try this link to a very good article on some of the basic jets tubes and chokes for side drafts. It was the best info I have found and easy to follow.

Begs the question: which jetting, etc. did you end up using on your DCOx twins?

When I give you the numbers that are in it right now you'll understand why I looked all over for some of the info that I did. I'll start by telling you that a stock OM has a different accelerator pump that is manual so no jetting of it is required. Right now I have 138 mains with an F64 emusion tube and idle jets are 59F21. Ok if that isn't odd enough my air carrier is a 160 not a jet but the carrier is 160. I run 32 chokes but may go to 30s to compensate for the lost torque with the upcoming cam. I'll probably drill out the carrier and do something like a 180 or 200 for an air. On the flat top 1.9 it was too rich this way but on the 2.0 it is just about perfect with great transition. I'm thinking only about the airs and maybe just maybe trying the 30s. I did find some short horns too but figured if I'm ordering from Italy I might as well do it all at once.

I would like some advice about a dual 40 DCOE also. I am building a 1.9/2.4 conversion, roller rockers, large chevy valves and would like to hear what jetting is likely for this engine. Thanks in advance.
