Interesting....was this for downdrafts, or side drafts?

I have a couple of Solex's around, maybe a cool duel downdraft Solex setup would be interesting! And surely unique!

there was just a set of duel 40 solexes with irmsher intakes and air box for sale on German e-bay last week. Think it went for around 350 if I'm not mistaken.

forgot to mention, you're best bet for intakes is on german e-bay.As they are far and few here in the states, (trust me!!) i searched for a long time around here and people just wont part with them!! They do show up quite often on german e-bay tho, there is a set or 2 on there right now. Good luck, they get snatched up real quick!

I also have a set of twin Cannon intakes with dual Weber 40 DCOE's that have been sitting on my shelf for a decade. I doubt that I'll use them because I can't bring myself to cut into a heaterbox.

I'd really like to trade them for a single webber sidedraft intake set up.

Anyone interested?

john some extra info might make this easyer to deal with .
1 which opel do you want it for
2 what do you want twin side draft carbs (2X dcoe or dcom) or down draft twin choke compound (32/36 weber , 36/36 dgas ) or twin downdraft weber (ida, idf)

the reason i ask is the first needs the heater box on a gt to be modified in most cases but not on an ascona,1900,manta,kadett
and the hood needs to be modified to fit twin downdraft carbs on a gt
and you need just the right carb with a twin choke compound

and if you are new to rebuilding an opel engine if would be a good idea to read
http://www.opelgt.com/forums/6a-engine-mechanical/1560-economical-cih-engine-rebuild.html
it covers an engine rebuild by one of the members and is full of the info needed to do it
