Here are a few photos of my linkage set up. It's in a Manta, but it will work in a GT also. Let me know if you need any other shots. Keep in mind how very important it is to build a quality linkage system. The majority of the "problems" people have with dual side drafts is linkage related. They will never stay in tune if the linkage is not made properly.

Duane- I never noticed before, but did you make a heatshield underneath the carbs? If so, what type of material...aluminium...steel? My duals drip occasionally and I'm scared to death they'll drip on the manifold and ignite. I was thinking of a heatshield or "driptray" myself.

I made it from a 45 mph street sign. I am a mechanic/ mechanic supervisor for the DOT and have access to an unlimited quantity of signs as they get replaced. The sign crew just throws them away. They are actually made of an aluminum alloy that is incredibly strong which makes it difficult to bend, but it works well for making flat pieces ............ like heat shields. I made a pattern while the engine was on a stand and just transfered it to the sign. I added some 1/2"x1/2" aluminum angle to the underside to add support and prevent vibration from flexing. I did a quickie job of engine turning it just to give it a bit of style. I still have the pattern and I have actually made a few of them for people that wanted them. I've attached a photo for you.

Making kits would be a bit difficult. My set up is specific to my manifolds and throttle cable arrangment. I TIG welded a mounting boss onto the rear intake manifold and used the thermostat housing as a pick up point for the front mount. Everything must be aligned properly before the boss is welded to the manifold. I machined my own fulcrum arms to work with my mounting points. Otherwise, the rest of it was just purchased in pieces. I used a stainless rod, a couple of high quality hiem joints, some lock collars and two arms (one for the cable pull and one for a return spring). Not difficult to do, just takes some time. My carbs have held tune for over 4 years now.

enjoying my setup
my set up is a reflection of my skills. It was all done with JB weld,a dremel and a few screws. Not near as professional as the prior posts, but I will redo it later using this as a template. No welding....yet.
I just got back from a pleasure drive tonight as the weather is in the 40's and the roads are dry.Dam am I pumped, the old gal really kicks. mine set up has needed no adjustments, i havent touched one screw or cleaned it since my install. heavy heatshielding is a must.the exhaust is right under the intake. the idea that DSD is hard to tune or maintain does not seem true so far.

If you go down to CSK they have a universal throttle cabel kit and depending on carb intakes all yuo need is a couple of mounts for it. I can go take pics if you want but I run a Magnoletsi and it has a bit wider setup than Canon or Irmsher not sure about Dbilas yet but will find out pretty quick.
