Unanswered: 2 x Weber 45DCOE

I am planning to install 2 Weber 45DCOE on my tuned 1,9 engine. Is it enough space for an installation like this? Is there any standard linkages for the GT and 2 Weber 45's?

Unless running the shorty intakes (hard to find)the heater box with have to be cut and modified. There are no off the shelf linkages to connect to the stock opel throttle but there is a thread on how opeldean made his own. Are you sure your set up needs 45's? What all do you have done to your motor?

Well, my 1,9 is a 2,2 now (balanced) with a new cam and valves. Do you think I can use a smaller carb then a 45?

Thank you! Motormans manifolds are they the short type? Do I then need a thermo housing from a Rekord?

Im think your engine would be able to take advantage of 45's but 40's would also suit it well.

I'd have to agree with jordan. Do you already have the set of 45's?

Could you please search before starting a new thread, and then use the correct Forum when you do start a thread? It seems that out of only 11 posts and five new threads by you so far, I have moved three.
TIA

No I have a 32/36 now, but I am afraid that it will be a little small for the rebuilded engine.

Isn't the question about enough space for 2 webers in a GT and linkage for webers in a GT GT specific?

I trust I am not sensing an "attitude" here? While freedom of speech is a right in certain countries and societies, on this site it is a privilege. Especially when conversing with the site Moderators.

Adam is correct. If all questions relating to the GT model were posted in the GT Forum, it would have 95% of the threads, and be virtually unsearchable. The guidelines are fairly clear, but I am happy to reiterate them for your benefit.

Questions that are best answered in the Technical Forums should almost always go there (under the appropriate Forum heading). For example, if you want to know which muffler sounds best on a Manta, don't post it in the Manta Forum. It belongs in the "Exhaust" Forum. So if you find a Technical Forum that seems to fit your thread, it almost AWAYS belongs there. Wait, first search the Forum to see if it has already been answered. If not, but you find a thread that comes close to answering it, ADD to that thread. Only start a new thread if it has NEVER been even attempted to be asked before

Only questions that specifically relate to the the Model (that don't fall under the above guideline) should be posted in a Model Forum. For example, "What taillight design was specific to the '73 GT?" would go in the GT Forum. Or, "Did the Ascona SportWagon ever come from the factory with roof racks?" would go in the Ascona Forum. You might put it in the "Body" Forum, but then I would have to move it.

HTH.

45's would probably suit a 2.2l more then the 40's. With the 2.2's your choke selection should be about 36 or 38 depending on where you want your power. And you can choke the 45's down to a 34mm and jet accordingly just fine.

40's would work too but you would have "expandability" with the 45's.

There are some aftermarket linkage options that bolt onto the carb bodies themselves but you might have a clearence problem with the hood. I havn't tried them, but it looked close. They have some that mount to the bottom of the carbs too, but it looks difficult to get too. Especially with a hot exhauset manifold/headers right next door.
