Unanswered: Need Some Advice
I have more pictures listed under Forums - Introductions - I Just Aquired a 1975 Opel. Also, if you can think of any other place I can post my car for sale that would be great. Thanks for the help.

How well preserved is the top of the back seat, and the area under the back window? Also can you provide some shots of the rusty areas to gauge how extensive it is on the lower quarter panels? I believe you sent me some pictures of the battery tray area at one time (I've since misplaced them), and potentially-interested buyers would likely want to see that area as well since it is so prone to rust in these cars.

I like 'em, but I've decided the next Opel I purchase (IF I purchase another one) needs to be as rust-free and darn near perfect as possible. I don't want another GT, and I have a nice Manta or two already. Wagons are out because my wife can't get past her childhood images of them as gypsy cars
. Kadetts are off my radar for similar reasons that I don't want another GT (I'd just as soon drive my tractor or a wheelbarrow). OK, so maybe that was a bit harsh! So, that doesn't leave me much. I like the look of the 1900 sedans and I'd be willing to pay the right price for the right car. The kicker for me is that I don't care about mechanicals - I have a newly rebuilt engine ready for gaskets that could drop right in. My dream car would be a perfect body and interior with no drivetrain. Buy it cheap, drop it off at a shop for paint (NOT rust repair), install one of the drivetrains I already have, and DRIVE it. I'm nearly there with one of my Mantas, so perhaps when I have it back on the road the way I want it my fever will subside! Sometimes, I feel the urge to sell ALL the cars and parts I have (which is a LOT now) and find the perfect one to DRIVE and enjoy. Todd

1975 opel Ascona
After reviewing the Opel GT classified adds, I just sent you an E-mail about this car, based on what I read on this thread it is a very close match to what I am looking for. Like most folks, I have very little available cash but we do have a nice 23' 2003 KZ "Coyote" camper that I would like to replace with your Opel. I don't know if this is the type camper you are trying to get, but if you think you might be interested, let me know, I could provide detailed photos and specific information about what kind of Opel plus cash arrangement could be made for the trailer. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in, at his point there are a lot of details that would have to be worked out, but it does not hurt to ask
