Unanswered: Sportwagon use #1342

Those who have been to Carlisle and have met me know I USE my Sportwagon. This year I brought up a stash of Optima batteries for my friend Edwin. Well, at work, they're closing part of our warehouse and moving it to TN, and the various pieces of equipment this section had is either being re-tasked, or quite literally THROWN OUT! Well, one piece is a work bench with a solid wood top, and you can add electrical outlets in the legs. Believe me, this is a SOLID table. Put a vise and bench grinder on it and you're in business. Well, it was going to be trashed, but, I spoke up and said I'd take it. They asked, how would I get it home? I'll put it on the roof rack on my Sportwagon, pull out my bungee cords wrap it down and off I'll go. There's some who think using a Sportwagon like this is a sacriledge, not me, it's fun to drive, but, it's also a useful tool.!

I Agree!!!

I agree with you 100%. If you can still use it, WHY NOT?!?! I don't like to see trailer queens. I would like to see a vehicle used like it is intended. The wagon was ment to haul and it still can. But, it's just MHO...

Dean

p.s. Nice looking table... 'specally for free. Can't bet that!

Garage
I picked up a workbench just like that when a company I worked for went out of business back in 1970. You will get a lot of use out of it. (I know I have)

You know Gene. It just looks right on your roof rack.

Oh, so that's it! If you can't steal part of TN you'll just move there IF you have to. You Opel people are welcome anyway to visit or stay.
