Madhatter;
I did a quick look, but, could not find any right off the bat, but, here's a pic of an Ascona A Sedan, without the real wide racing flares. these are the street type flares. This would be the same as a Sportwagon. I do have a set of these street flares for my Sportwagon, I just haven't gotten around to mounting them yet. Too many other projects that need attention right now. Gene P.S. I found this pic of a Manta/Sportwagon on Uwe Klippert's site. It has flares, along with a Manta nose, but, I think these are "hand-made" flares, knowing how good Uwe is.

BTW it looks like Uwe modified Ascona B '400' flares to fit his Mancona wagon. Bob |

Otherwise you're on your own. I suspect you could cut out the sheetmetal area with the gas cap filler recession, extend the filler hose, and rivet/bond the sheetmetal to the back of the flare (after cutting a hole ni the fiberglass). Bob |

Probably not. Autosport, More Opel, Parts and Polish...these guys sold Opel parts in the '70's and into the early '80's. They all sold out or closed up shop 20+ years ago. I think Gil got his molds from More Opel IIRC. I seem to remember my small flares coming from Autosport however. Mantapart used to have both sizes of flares as well, but I think his molds were warped/worn out as long as ten years ago.

He also lists a corvette style rear panel for the GT and some different GT flares. Contact OU for a copy of their flyer. |

want some more pics?
If Gary doesn't mind I could get you some photos of both his style of flares and mine on my sport wagon. Sure the wheels would still be the stockers and the flares would probably be taped on for the photos, but it wouldn't take a lot to do.
One option I was looking into pretty seriously for my own Kadett was a set of aftermarket extended flares for a late model 4x4 Chevy S-10. The body contour is pretty darn close and the flares are a nice easy circular shape and plenty big. |

Perhaps I should explain the motivation for my search for a flared wagon. First off, everyone has to understand that I craft visions of cars in my head (a triple black, shaved, slammed and blown Buick Roadmaster wagon is one vision of mine that may never go away).
That being said, my most recent vision is of a shaved, slammed and blown Sportwagon, triple black, blacked out windows. I know what a lowered wagon with the right rims looks like.... Red wagon with the right rims (that's an example that I could find easily) But wondered how well a set of Steinmetz flares would flow on a Sportwagon. That being said, it's not that critical that you guys take the few minutes to mock up the flares. I know now what I have to do... ... get a job.
