Answered: Related question: GTO Differential

Related question to my Bitter SC conversion questions.

I know that the Bitter, Cadillac Catera, and '04+ GTO are on related plaforms.

I also know that a GTO differential is pretty readily adapted to a Catera (there are a few LSx conversions out there)...

Will the GTO diff also fit the Bitter without a lot of fabrication?

Thanks!
Bill

Kinda/sorta.... The Bitter is based on the Senator platform. The Catera is based on the Opel Omega which replaced the Senator and the new GTO is based on the Holden. So there is some relationship there.

Doesn't the Bitter come with a LSD with independent rear suspension and discs? There have been a few Bitters converted to SBC v8's that I think used the stock rear end.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure about the LSD part and figured that the Bitter rear might be more closely related in strength to the Catera vice the GTO... but unless it's a direct bolt in (or not an LSD) I'd likely stay with the stock bit until it proved to be unreliable... but I have the opportunity to grab a cheap GTO diff and thought I might stash it away if it was a straightforward swap.

Thanks again!
