Translation.
Erich bitter, creator of classical Coupés on OPEL basis, acknowledged. "Nach 30 years it is geben" again CD;, he says and presents prototypes, which is based on the Australian Holden Monaro. Thus it falls back again once to GM components, like already with the legendary CD Coupé from the Siebzigern. This used at that time 5.4 litres the V8 from the OPEL diplomat. From this time also the contacts originate to Bob Lutz, which goes also this time again in the case of the supply of the technical platform to the hand. The body of the new CD II is a successful mixture from German, Japanese and Italian Design quotations. In the front a radiator à la to Pininfarina and headlights in the style of the Nissan find 350 Z together, the straight-line, lateral profile follow German conceptions of elegant Technizitaet and the round lights let in into the tail fenders speak Italian. The round tail lamps are nearly too saucy for the schnoerkellose body With this mixture from US technology, independent Design and German requirement for perfection Erich wants to be as successful bitter as in the seventies, because he was finally at this time the eight-largest German manufacturer - there was not ninth however. No reason to the irony, because of bitterly the sports club altogether about 1,500 copies were built and sold. Not least in the USA this vehicle found an active interest. Therefore itself Erich bitter is sure that he can sell II for a price of approximately 100,000 euro without problems to the CD. Beside the obliging/pleasing exterior above all the use of GM mass production technology should be an important Pound with the marketing. The interior of the CD II deflected with wood and leather The 5,7-Liter-V8 under the front hood is a descendant of the millionfold built "Small Blocks" of general of engine. Beside the Holden Monaro that also in the current Pontiac GTO one builds to 404 HP strong aggregate. That is enough, in order to accelerate the 1.7 tons of the CD II on 250 km/h. In the interior of the Coupés finest De-Sede-Leder is processed, on which bitter is particularly proud: "Das even DaimlerChrysler for the May brook is teuer" too;. In the year actually only a lack of capital in the way of means of the emission of bonus shares stands for the production of approximately 150 cars wants bitter about 6 million euro to aquirieren, in order to be able to set the manufacturing in course. After four years and 600 copies conclusion is to then be, if one can imagine with Erich the bitter at all.

Here's Babel Fish's translation:

Bitter article Babel Fish corrections
Corrected translation: The finest De-Sede leather is used in the interior of the Coupé, of which Bitter is particularly proud: "DaimlerChrysler themselves consider that too expensive even for the Maybach."

This is Mr. Bitters 5th or 6th prototype over the last 30 years.
(before this he had his sights on doing a Bitter 3 based on the Omega.. ) He always seems to have money to do these splashy events and prortypes, but never seems to get the cars actually made. I sure hope he gets this one built. I have driven (and almost bought) the new GTO on which this car is based.. it should be one hell of a ride. Charles
