Changing from one type of racing to another can be a pain.
Case in point I was tring to use circle track methods to figure out the final drive ratio needed for drag racing.
Wroung I forgot that I'm shifting gears there by changing the multiplier.
Numbers so that I can remember
second gear 2.14X3.44=7.36 final.
7,920 inches in a 1/8 mile
The 205/60/13 tire is 72 inches in circ. with a dia. of 22.4
Thinking about a 24.4 dia.tire.

Had a great time last night and didnt break any parts.
Got to the track very late like around 8:25 right before the drivers meeting. So we were late teching in. Oh well..no practice runs so my setup was a big guess. First round drop out

I go to a lot of Cruise nights to show off my GT's. A few weeks ago one of the spectators and his son asked quite a few questions about Opels and GT's in particular. He originally came from Portugal where he use to race Opels and he had a keen interest in getting back into Opels and his son, not quite 16 yet was overly enthused about any car. Anyway, they kept coming back to the various cruise nights around the area and would spend hours talking to me.

More pics, of the really bad part of the car this time: the trunk floor. It's going to be a tough floor to restore, were that my intention, but it should be solid enough around the edges for me to drop in a sheet metal box with supports to allow mounting of a poly fuel cel inside the trunk.
