Zip/Distance

here lately i have been looking through the ads and where it says to enter your zip code i do and then it gives me a distance that is WAY off for example.... I live in illinois i was checking out an item that was in Birmingham, Alabama and it said it was only 90 miles from me which in all reality it is at least 600 miles from me.

I have noticed that from the beginning, guess i should have reported it, i have just learned to ignore the mileage. it told me a car in florida was 43 miles from me, try 1243 maybe

Yes, we recently found out about that too... Alllen bid on something that said 140 miles away when it was more like 540 miles away. Makes pickup impossible!

Now we know.

I think there are lots of various bugs these days that seem to persist.

lol i didnt know that many ppl were having the same thing happen or i would have posted a long time ago its been happening for i dont know how but like kndlindsey said i just learned to ignore it and use mapquest

BTW, since we are on the subject, does anyone else have issues with the 'view last unread' button? It seems to take me to random places, even if I have been sure to read every post.

Not sure on the "View last unread" it could have something to do with the Search Engine Optimization program I added. There is another update to the Forum program that needs to be installed. we'll see if that fixes it.

As for the Zip Code. I'll be updating the Ad Board and will reload the zip files.

yes I have had "last read" bugs for two months now. Have sent in bug reports but it persists. Plus the site recognizes me only about 1 of 20 times.

Do you have "Cookies enabled" in your browser and did you check off the "remember me" box when you sign in? Sometimes Ad or spyware blockers will remove the cookies and the auto sign in and view last read will not work because there is no reference point for them.
