Unanswered: Getrag Short Shift Kit?

I noticed Craig's Targa at Carlisle had a REALLY short shifting Getrag. Can anyone provide details on our options for a developing a short shift for this transmission? I did a quick search and came up with this BMW-based stuff...it looks awesome.

Craig's GT just had a cut-down shift lever. REALLY cut down. You can get away with this on a GT, but on a Manta, unless you have Lurch-like arms, you'd never be able to reach the shifter. Duane's Manta has a custom short-throw shifter I built which has a 38% reduction of throw.

Now the dilemna with the Autosolutions short shifter (or any BMW shifter for that matter). It's designed for use with a full-length shift tower. There will be a lot of misalignment with the extended shifter, but if the shift tower is set back (say 7-8 inches) it's not a lot of angularity to be concerned with. On an Opel Getrag installation, the shift tower is massively shortened (front to back), so the lower attachment of the shifter has to be in the same plane as the back of the tranny or it will bind up due to the angularity. The only way to accomplish this is via a raised fulcrum (pivot point) for the shifter itself, which is the way I built Duane's Getrag 240 shifter and Gregg's Getrag 265 shifter.

Hopefully I've made myself perfectly clear (as mud?).
