Unanswered: BMW Gearbox?

Does anyone know if the gearbox of a 1984 BMW 325Is fits into a 1969 Opel GT? Or if any other car's gearbox is interchangeable into a 1969 Opel GT?

mario i dont know if you have worked out how to use the site so a 101 on searching for gearbox changes if you dont mind

have a look in the top left side of the page and click on forum button ,
go down to the performance section and enter clutch ,transmision and drive train upgrades and in the options at the bottom of the page click on the drop box showing "last month" and set to begining ,then click show threads
you will then get 6 pages of posts on gear boxes ,find a thread that relates to the box (you will need to find out what box is in the beemer ) then see whats involved in fitting it if it will go in easy (some go with a bolt in job some need to be reengineered to fit ,as with all things if you have enough skill or money any engine or gearbox will go in any car )

i think it will be a fixed bell housing one btw so no

Someone here did make the atempt of the BMW onto the Opel engine, but realized it was a total PITA and not worth the trouble. You have to change many things to get it to work.
