Unanswered: Replacement Torque Tube for Diff Swap
For those of you that have been asking what to do about the torque tube when replacing the rear end, enclosed is a picture of a recent installation. The rear is an S-10 with rear disks and was installed at the stock location using all of the stock brackets. The torque arm set up is fully adjustable but lots of metal work had to be done to allow the drive shaft a straight shot to the rear. This was very expensive considering just the torque arm and peripherals cost close to $1K. A better system is being worked on for one of our new vehicles which allow you to keep a slightly modified Opel torque tube with an S-10 rear. This is one of the 14 new products our company has for 2007 and we will post a few pics once it is complete.
