Unanswered: camaro t5 length

hi yall
i need to know what the lenght of the camaro t5 is from either the front of the bell housing or the front of the case to the center of the shifter shaft. i know everybody thinks it wont work but here is my plan. i recently puchased a 3.4l dual overhead cam 60 degree v6 from a chevrolet lumina. yes this engine will fit. i have measured a million times. i will still have to cut the foot wells and actually move the front of the footwells back about 3". the rear of the engine will sit parallel to the edge of the wiper tray. so i will actually be moving the engine forward aprox 6". i will be cutting the entire front end off before the wheel well and moving it forward (streaching) aprox 4-5" to help offset both weight on over the front suspension and add clearance for custom suspension. the only downfall to this whole set up is the fact that i had to build a custom intake manifold and i will be stickin through the hood.
so in coclusion i will be moving the engine forward 6" and still want the shifter to stick through the stock location or rearward no more than 3 "
any help is greatly appreciated thank you

I just ran a search for "T-5 Shifter Location" and came up with 7 lengthy threads. I know that at one time someone posted a link that had all the shifter locations on the T-5, but where it is IDK. Looks like you'll have to do some reading to find it, but it is on the site somewhere.

Did you find this thread on stretching a GT?
What does that motor weigh? Do you have any intention of turning a corner? Just kidding, I have NOTHING intelligent to add regarding engine swaps and expected outcomes, I just remembered the above stretch thread and thought you might find it useful.

Cool

thanks for the link, yes i have read that article before and will be doing something similar. as for the motor, the block itself is the same as a pushrod 60 degree v6 only difference is it does not have holes for lifters (actualy makes the valley alot stronger). block weighs in just under 100lbs. 96 i think. heads and intake are all aluminum, so there is some weight savings there. i dont have a large enough scale so when i dismantel this engine i will weigh all components on my bathroom scale to get an aprox weight. will post later. yes this car will turn a corner! i have spent and will continue to spend a great deal of time educating myself on suspension concepts and acting forces upon components.
