Unanswered: 1.1 > 1.9 Pinion Flange Exchange

I am considering using a 1.9L axle assembly with my latest 1.1L GT project. Despite its weight penalty, the stock 1.9L rearend would be a 'high performance' swap when used in a 1.1 (considering the beefier individual components, heavy-duty torque tube donut availability, and larger rear brakes).

I will try out the stock 3.44 gears first and see how they affect acceleration and gas mileage when used with a 1.1L. But I also have a set of 3.67s and 3.90s for a 1.9L diffy, if warranted.

Offhand, does anybody know whether the drive pinion flanges are interchangeable between the smaller and larger drivetrain? The torque tube length appears identical, and I'm hoping the drive pinion extension shaft and pinion preload nut is the same. Or at least, that the flanges can be swapped easily.

I don't like the idea of cannibalizing a stock 1.1L GT driveshaft.

It doesn't have to be a 1.1 GT driveshaft since you will have to have one with a 1.1 front yoke and u-joint and a 1.9 rear trunion and u-joint,you can use any 1.1 shaft for the front part and any 1.9 rear to mate to the propeller shaft at the front of the torque tube.
