    jdm spec engine

    ok heres another idea couldnt i get a jdm spec engine and trans from a miata or a nissan 300zx or somthing small but powerfull i figuer i u cant beet them join them. if u know of any ideas that i could do please tell me so i can look into it. and what will i have to do to do it.

    There are tons of performance parts for the Miata/323 motor. There are turbos (stock-90's Capri Turbo and the 323 GT or aftermarket turbo's), superchargers, and Weber sidedrafts. And the motors are plentiful here in the States. JDM might get you a few more horsepower in stock F.I. form, but it is still a used motor.
    Personally, if I was going to stick with a 4 cylinder, I'd use an Opel motor. It may be more money for the 2.4 or a 16 valve, but a certain amount of figuring and fabbing does not need to be done. Plus, someone is making a small displacement supercharger for 4 cyl's. Camden maybe? Eaton? My memory fails....
