Unanswered: kadett B engine swap

hi guys , i have kadett b whith 1.2L engine , and i want to know whitch is the most powerfull engine i can put on this gearbox

On the 1.2 gearbox? that would be the 1.2 S engine that is the only engine power the box can take and not only the box but also the rear end

THe Kadett 'B' OHV gearbox was designed for a 1.0 litre motor and does good service with motors up to 1.2L - but it is very tiny and is not suitable for larger motors ... and neither is the small diff!

Maybe OK for a 1.2L bored out 2mm oversized but that is about as far as you dare go.

ok tnx , and about diff , it can take up to 135hp , one guy put record 2.2 cih on this diff an it all works fine

I'm sure he used the larger rear end from the Kadett/GT 1.9 liter, because he needed the larger gear box also. Was the original Kadett B he used an automatic?
