im not afraid of a little fabrication. I was thinking about making an adapter to one of my rx7 transmissions so id also have the 5 speed.. then having the drive shaft modified. id expect 40+mpg with more hp and torque than the factory high compression 1.9.. oh and ofcorse id need to go electric fuel pump. along wiht a lot of other things like custom engine mounts. i know nothing about the complexity of the computer system though to run these engines. like if they will run without its gauge cluster. anyone know if its feasible? Well, first off all cars after 95 have an OBD II computer or CAN. You will need schematics of both the engine electrical and the GT so you can integrate them, along with Opel sensors for the oil and temp. If you have an electrical speedo drive on the RX tranny, you'll have to convert that to a mechancial setup. To give you an idea of an engine swap with a computer, check out the Phase I of my engine swap in the "Opel Articles" forum. That Phase was just to get the engine to run on a stand, I have other Phases that deal with engine mounts, exhaust, fuel system, electrical and other stuff that may be of interest in doing a swap of this nature.

well the rx7 speedo is cable so i can mark that off the list ya ill have to look at some saturn fsm wiring schematics. nowhere on the internet have i found anything on transplanting a saturn engine into anything but i saw on "truckin" a few years ago a rock crawler that had a Saturn engine in it.. and they said those are popular engines for them being aluminum head and block.. yes i cant find any info hmm
