Unanswered: Skyline motor in a GT?

Hey guys im brand new to the forum. Im 16 and just got my hands on a 69 gt in need of restoration. I was wondering if there were any sucessfull inline 6 motor swaps? I know it seems pretty farfetched but Im pretty sure I wanna do it. I know the engine bay is pretty small but I was thinking if I cut the firewall I could squeez it in there. Im good with cars and i know this swap wont be easy but im willing to put the work in. If anyone has some posotive feedback just let me know what your thinking. Thanks

I am 19, going on 20, and have owned 10 GT's so far! Purchased a 1973 when I was 14.. restored and sold that. Now I have a 1970 and am in the process of restoring it. There are a lot of 'younger' opelers!

hey,Im Maxx and i have a 1971 opel gt ill be driving it to school next year here in Oregon,i have a built head with a hot cam+weber 32/36,hooker headers 70 motor which means higher compression after 1970 they started putting smog emmisions on which reduced horsepower rear sway bar which is rare(originally) but it is possible to buy one at Opel GT Source --- Welcome the guy that previously owned the car was going to put a v6 in it but he gave up leaving me with a huge hole in my firewall that i had to weld up what kind of motor are you planning to put in your gt?,Maxx

I know they put Opel six cyl in GT's before so it doable

a lot of time its not the motor that's the limiting factor but the Trans (and of course the rest of the drive train)
