I thought about enlarging them to .5 inches, but instead Iīve come to the conclusion thatīs not a great idea... My tubes are worn, to the point of not even being flat-ended... My tubes are worn, to the point of not even being flat-ended... Also, the tubes have apparently already been replaced by someone else, and that someone didnīt really measure before welding... Therefore, one tube sticks out more than the other, they are not welded in equally far, longitudally.

So I have to redo everything. On to my question then...

How long are the tubes supposed to be, exactly? And, how far are they supposed to stick out, say on the front side. Just so that I know in what position to weld them.

Iīd appreciate any comment on the subject.
