I´m mostly interested in the smaller 14" ones, for a front end rebuild using coilovers instead of that ols leaf spring. He does have a pair of 17" ones though, menat to have as rear dampers.

So here´s my question.

If the rear floor (where the dampers hook up to the body) is strengthened enough, would it be possible to use coilovers there and simply get rid of the coil springs? How long are the standard dampers?

Any other ideas on the subject?
