I was surfing around for some parts for the Kadett B Wagon I just purchased and found a German forum dedicated to just Kadett B's. They had a link for suppliers and this was one. Lots of Opel parts are listed. They have parts for other makes and models too. For the Opels there are lots of parts including rubber, body panel patches, full body panels, lenses, scripts, poly bushings, bumpers, carpets, headliners. Looks to me that their prices are inline with Reprotec and Dr. Manta. I think some prices are quite a bit better. Sent them a email to see if they will ship to the U.S. but have not heard anything as of yet. Late in the day and a Friday to boot. I have not read anything here about them so thought I would post.

Hi all, forgive me if I am doing anything wrong but I am a complete newbie to forum posting and expecially this one.

My grandfather has finally been told "no more driving" at 93 and wants his beloved Opel Kadett to go to a good home.

For info it's a 1976 Opel Kadett City L (1196cc) Auto, bought brand new from Opel in Berlin where he was living at the time and imported back into the UK a few years later. It's pretty pristine as he hasn't done much with it for many years other than a little run to the shops a couple of times a week and an annual service with a local garage.

He wants to know what your opinion would be on the best way to sell it on (given that we don't know anything about cars, value, etc)

Can anyone offer any guidance for him please?

Thanks.

I've already made up a list for my 69? GT. First one and honestly the first four wheeled restore. I've had a lot of luck with motorcycles but this is a new world to me so if I sound like I don't know what i'm talking about, I probably don't. My wife acquired the car while I was overseas and now I feel bad that it can't be out running on the road so it's time to get to work.

First off I need to change out the oil and fluids and will probably put a little Marvel Mystery in the cylinders to free em up then get a new battery as the old one is kaput and while I'm at it fanangle a battery holder together. The car is in a decent shape from what I can tell, just a little rust where expected. Originally being from Western Pennsylvania this car is fantastic for it's age, probably different opinions coming from the west coast but I think with some love I can get her running and on the road.
However I do have a couple questions about two specific parts.
-Where can I find a new air cleaner assembly (rubber is no good)?
-Where can I find a working choke cable for the Solex carbs?
-Any specific battery I should use? It doesn't get too cold here in SC.
Appreciate any help.
