Unanswered: EFI hose barb

I am in need of a little guidance.
The installation of the LE Jetronic system into my GT has gone pretty well.
My question concerns the 5/8 hose barb which needs to be inserted into the coolant drain hole near the oil pressure sender. I have a pre 75 block so the drain hole is only the smaller one. Those that have done the swap to factory efi in a GT, how did you resolve this? A reducer fitting maybe?
Is there enough flow with this idea?

Bob

I think you can use a pipe tap to thread one of the freeze plug holes on the driver's side so it accepts a hose barb. Just make sure you use an NPT (pipe thread) tap, which is tapered like the hose barb thread.
