Unanswered: mass air flow meter question???

hi i wanted to know if there is a newer air sensor that can be used to replace the original air flow meter as its kinda bulky. . sorry if this is a dumb question i was just wondering cause i have an intake on the car and the factory air flow meter takes up a lot of space. thanks in advance for any help :]

Different ...

A mass flow sensor works a bit differently to the existing flap valve meter thingie so would probably need a completely different ECU as well.
Not as simple as just swapping the meters!

Another thought would be to dump the air flow meter altogether.
MAP-ECU Manifold Absolute Pressure Electronic Control Unit : WOTMStore
I've never tried the unit before nor even knows if it will work on an Opel.
