Unanswered: F.I. inlet hose

OK, has anyone found a good replacement for the F.I. air intake hose? The one from the filter assembly to the grill? See attached picture. I'm not picky about what material it's made of, i.e., it could be fabric, rubber, aluminum, clear....yadda, yadda, yadda....any ideas?

We use A/C duct hose on some applications since it is flexible and heat resistant. In some others that require a diameter greater than 4", we use marine fuel line which is flexible and are available up to 8" in diameter.

For your application, I would use Part # DH25 from NAP @ $2.29 per foot. I can order you the length you require and included it on Wednesday's order.

Gene. If you want OE type grey paper wire air inlet tubing take a look at NAPA's on line master catalog. They list dozens of sizes and materials including some that look like original. I'll see if they have the size our cars use
and post a link.

Juan;
That would be cool, I need two feet, well, not all of it, but, I need more than a foot, I already measured. So two feet will do it.

NAPA HD fresh air duct hose 2-1/2 ID:

No listing for hose of the same material as OE in 65mm. It's preheater hose and available in smaller dia's though up to 60mm id.

Mark, as stated, I'm not looking for it to be OEM, I just want it to work.

I understand. The linked hose is made by Standard Motor Products and relabeled for Napa. It's bulk hose sold by the foot at the stores and is what I used on my Manta. It appears to be the same as blancojp will get you. Didn't see his post before sending mine.

Just for the record.
The NAPA stores are supposed to open the package and sell you the amount you need since it's bulk hose.
That's what they did for me, selling me about two feet for my Manta of the 2.5" and three feet of the 4" id the other day for my Thunderbirds heater.

Yup, yup. I used to order from McM all the time for work and the commercial prices were better. But now I have to pay list and wait for delivery.
So with a large NAPA store only 5 blocks away from home and the NAPA warehouse across town, I check the NAPA Pro Master Catalog first.
