Unanswered: FI Question

I have a question for those who have done the FI conversion. What are the specs for the fuel pump needed? flow rate and pressure? Plus what is a good, but low cost fuel pump to use for same? I did several searches but didnt find the answer. Thanks.

FI Fuel Pressure

My 1975 to 81 Opel B Series manual says:

Regulated pressure ....... 42 +- 3 lbs/sq in (3 +- 0.2 bar)

Output ....... 1.5 to 2.0 litres/min

That is the regulated pressure in the fuel rail so I can only guess that the actual pump would be capable of a higher pressure and it is controlled by the regulator in the feed back line.

You will probably find that the GM "J" Car series have a suitable in-line pump as they use Bosch based injection systems too.
Unless the ones over there have pumps in the tank.....

Almost all FI GM's use a pump in the fuel tank(I can't think of one that does not). Many VWs and Audis use a frame mounted pump. Also several late 80's Fords.
