Heck at this point I'd be willing to take them if only I could find some cheap indoor storage for the four of them, plus the two GT's currently sitting outside in my back yard. I really need to get rid of my two extra GT's so that I can focused on my other 3 GT's and my Manta Blue Max! I just hate to see these cars wind up in the junkyard when they might be restored or parted to preserve others. Anyone know of a cheap storage facility in the Tampa Bay area? Anyone want to contribute to starting an Opel Orphanage?

P.S. Had someone walk up to my front porch last week asking if I'd sell my Manta. I was surprised at how quickly and firmly I said "No!" - almost like a physical reflex! Today I received this month's Hemmings Sport & Exotic Car with a yellow '74 Manta featured on the front cover - now I feel vindicated!

Now that things are settling down for me, I'll meet anywhere, and yes you are right weekends are best. Now that I am not trying to rush home and mow lawn, do laundry, etc. on the few days I was home, I'm not too sure what to do with free time GT is still in Savannah at friends until I find a permanent place, but I'll meet anytime/place. You're no longer the lone Opeler in Pensacola. Tim and I just got back in town a couple of months ago and are getting settled in. My GT and Tim's MG survived the Trans-Pacific/cross country journey seemingly intact.

NetandTim... Military? That is what originally brought me to P'cola and also almost sent me to Hawaii.

Wrangler I'm about a week out as i'm putting a new exhuast on.I have to get it to a shop this week.I've just about finished a complete rebuild on this car
so a road trip sounds good.

There is a car show at the Naval Air Station this weekend... Saturday, Sept 1, from 9am to 3pm. Makes for a nice trip because the Naval Museum is an awesome tour as well. Let me know if you want any more info.

Yes, Tim and I are/were military. Tim is still active Navy and I just retired in November. We spent the last ten years in Hawaii and are coming back home to settle down.

Need to do a bit of work on the GT alternator-won't keep system charged. We're looking at doing the S-10 alt upgrade.

Do you plan on having your GT in the show at NAS? We may be out of town this weekend. Otherwise, we'd like to meet you. We live very close to NAS/Corry.

Thanks for the welcome home Gary! It's quite a bit different than Hawaii, not better, not worse, just different. It's quite likely that someone spotted my GT on transit through TX. Would have been in late April timeframe and would still have had Hawaii plates on it.

Just waneted to let you know that you have another Opeler in Miami. My car wont be road worthy for a couple of months and even then only for a little bit as I intend to put a new floor in and paint it.

It would be kinda cool to get out to some shows before I tear it down though.

I've tried off and on, but am basically ignored. I currently live over in Brandon in an apartment. All of my Opel paraphenalia is stuffed into 2 garages here at the apartments where I am. I've asked about get togethers, youknow the basic, where can we at least get breakfast together, but no response. I've got a '71 GT that I am going to get going one of these days, but being new to the area and job here I've been a little busy. Let me know what is going on, and we can arrange a time to get together.
