Modifications and improvements to Opel F.I. systems
Well this is where I'm at It's all or nothing time. The bungs didn't turn out the way that I wanted :sigh1: Oh well thats life right? So now I'm hoping for the best and setting up to check the spray patterns here soon.
I'm having just tons of fun with connection problems. $%^&)!
Does anyone here have experience with the Holley Avenger 2 barrel retrofit TBI? Seems like it just might work on a larger CIH motor. Holley Performance Products Avenger EFI 2bbl Throttle Body Fuel Injection System*550-200
I am working on an AEM engine management install on my FP Manta. Who knows what I have made?
I have lots of GM/Isuzu TBI parts on hand, so I'm thinking I'll convert my Kadett to TBI (the carb was rusting in the water-filled trunk when I got the car). I understand there are some newer electronic distributors that will drop into the 1.9L CIH. What US market cars would have a compatible...
Hello all! I have been exploring the world of fuel injection and searching for information on this forum. One thing I have not been able to find is a more modern fuel injection system w/manifold on a 1.9 engine. Has anyone ever machined an adapter to fit a Honda etc. intake manifold onto a 1.9? ...
Jenvey Fuel Injection Throttle Bodies for motorsport Some times I can get myself worked up and talk myself into projects whether they make $$$ sense or not. I have about decided to buy a set of the short Jenvey Throttle bodies to fit my dual DCOE manifolds and run them with a Mega Squirt ECU....
Pretty cool from the Extrudabody folks - if they have a "footprint" of the head (eg, intake gasket), looks like they can now make you a custom intake manifold. Perhaps other companies now offer these kinds of services? Manifold: Custom 4 Cylinder Todd
I was bored this afternoon. So I started working on the dist. to mount a cam sensor. I need the sensor so that the sync of the injectors can be verified. After the housing was cut down a 2.25 deep cup core plug fits just right. On the shaft theres a small hole where I'm going to mount a tab...
I've been having some problems with the pulses messing up the MAF readings. So maybe a screen in front might help. Found a old radio for the donor screen. The MAF is a Ford unit with a 75mm id outlet. 83mm inlet
One of the members in our Auto-x club is a race car fabricator. He mentioned that he set up custom fuel injection systems. He happened to have his Nissan Silvia outside and offered to show us his work. The intake is a custom built aluminum unit, it uses 1 3/4" runners and about a 4" round...
Anyone have any experience with this? Acceleronics FAQ Just thinking...
I've heard that the response time is slow with oxygen sensors. Theres alot going on with this truck. B1S1 scaling is correct with .94 volts. B2S1 is only .210 volts. Another look at B2S1 The pink trace is me doing part throttle bumps/gooses. No wonder I'm bald!
Here's just a few reasons NOT to use someone else's maps. These are some of mine. There is a few corrections in other tables! Here's a shot of the cold maps.
Owning 2 fuel injected Opels has forced me into a fast learning curve on F.I. systems. Naturally the next step is how to update this 30 year old technology. From the little reading I have done, the laptop programmable Megasquirt FI controller seems to be the best low cost unit. Megasquirts come...
I am supposed to make this on the CNC tonight but i've been stuck for the last 2hrs just trying to make a drawing of the dang thing I am trying to get the instructor to add inventor but auto desk so i can try it solid works is a very painful program anyway 2.2 intake flange (took 3 days...
Just wondering if anyone knew of or would be interested in a throttle body that could be easily installed in place of a carburetor. Aussie Ford Falcon throttle body looks promising. :yup:
So here's a question for you informed members about the 1975 F.I. system. I have a 1970 GT with the 2.0 overbore kit, big valve package and performance cam, (all from CR small cars which shows you how long ago I did original build). From reading different threads I understand the limitations of...
In the past I’ve tried to improve the low end torque with the 80% rule. The flow(low rpms) seems to be better with the higher duty cycle. With my tuning software the start of pulse or the end can be specified but not both! The other day a current mag. (circle track,PHR) there was a reply to a...
