Unanswered: MJLJ vs MegaSquirt vs EEC-IV
I came across this problem. The Megatune software is more complete then the Megajolt light jr. software the later has no crank offset setting. Then I found a eec-iv adapter that runs the M/S software.(kit form 67.00) Eec-iv pcms can be found for like a dime a dozen at any salvage yard along with the harness. Thoughts please Crud wrong forum. Last edited by wrench459; 03-30-2008 at 09:49 PM. |

A V-8 motor makes power every 45 degrees. Our little engines do it every 90 degrees. The V-8’s are on a 90 degree block so lets look at the firing order. A Ford 5.0 HO firing order is 13726548 so the companion cylinders are 1-6 3-5 7-4 2-8. How about we drop every other firing to sync it to a 4 cylinder. So 3-5,and 2-8 coil packs are out. I’m sure ya’ll what to know why I’m thinking about using a V-8 EEC-IV fuel management system? To get the extra 4 injector drivers. |
