A possible candidate has been found.
2000 Ford escort 2.0L pcm# YU7A-12A650-CXA catch code GMC0
It sports returnless sfi injection along with variable cam timing.
As there’s thousands spread across junkyards they should be semi dirt cheap.
There’s as possible transmission problem with it being an automatic pcm but with the proper software tuning I don’t think it’ll be too big of an issue. I’ll need more time digging around in the EEPROM coding to see it its worth while.
