I can turn out some fuel pump block off plates if any one would need some. What material do we want them out of? how about some .250 T6 aluminium?

Basicly Jarrell T-6 is the hardness factor of aluminum, with T-6 being the hardest. There is a 4 number designation of the alloy mix also. If I remember from my A & P school days 1010 is the softest, then 2024, 6061 is next and 7010 is the strongest. At least that's what my brain remembers. But it's older than dirt, so someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Jarrell the block off plate is just a flat plate, it can be made out of pretty much anything. 1/4 inch or better and steel or aluminum won't matter. It doesn't do anything but plug a hole. I'll make a few for ya and put them in the box. I can just use the iron worker at work to cut them out. Consider it done.

I was doing some digging yesterday and came across a scrap piece of sufficient size to cut a few block offs out of. It turned out to be nickel chrome flat stock. Hard and flat and a wee bit different. It has a different look to it, but my question is will it buff out to a shine if so desired? It's close now but was just wondering now that I've already cut them out what the options are.
