Unanswered: Where's this tube from

Hello.
I was wondering what the tube in the picture leads to (no.1).
It's on the left and the right at the rearbottom of the car.
Anyone an idea?

tubes

The one with the flap on it is from the two tubes that run over the rear wheel wells, should be one on each side. The other looks like SOMEONE modified the gas tank vent tube .

Thats correct, he put a valve on it to stop the gassmell in his house.
But what about the other. Indeed there are two of them on each side. But what is the function of this tube. Where does it lead to?

tubes

They are drain tubes from the vents in the rear of the roof, just make sure that the flap is not stuck togather (common problem) so that they will drain. A little light oil in the slit works wonders in that area.

1. Vent tubes from inside
2. overflow or vapor line from gas tank
3. Gas line from tank to front of car.

One thing I just don't understand is why the fuel line from the tank goes back inside the car. Both the fuel line and vent line should go under the car along the tunnel cavity clipped to the brake line. Wierd.

Ron,

If you look closely at the pic you can see the line running exactly where
you said.

Thanx Stanley, I looked real close and you're right. The contrast in the pic screwed up my eyesight. It sure looked like it was going in the hole next to the fuel line. Must be "old-timers" catching up with me.
