Unanswered: Sick and tired of my fuel line!!!

I am going to yank it all out and replace it with 3/8" braided stainless. I need to know the size and thread pitch of the original hole on the stock GT tank. I am going to adapt a AN-6 90* fitting to its place and run the braided all the way up to the carb.

Consider strongly using the Teflon lined braided hose, not the rubber lined. Rubber lined has the problem of not being inspectable for cracking, and for having pin-holes from time to time. Even off the shelf, you can't tell if the hose is old and cracked. And the rubber lined hose does not have good longevity. In tech inspecting rally cars, I run into gas smell problems all the time; it's ususally pinholes in the braided rubber lines that can't be found. Teflon fittings are different than for rubber (as you probably know).

Regards,
Mark B.

Thanks for the tip, but I still need to know the size and thread of the hole.
