Unanswered: Fuel tank liner

Does somebody have experience with this fuel tank liner from Summit, this from Eastwood, or any other fuel tank liners?

Dieter

I am currently in the process of doing my Kadett tank with the KBS Coating kit. You can watch a great informative video on how to do a tank on their website. I am currently on step 2 and will be doing step 3, the actual coating tomorrow. So Far it's gone real well and just as they outlined in the video. This is the first tank that I've sealed but after watching the video you can tackle it with confidence! Good luck with it!

My father has used the POR-15 version of these products in his MG fuel tanks with good results. One would definitely want to do this in a well ventilated area as the fumes seem to be far worse than I would have expected.

Instead of a chain in the tank for the prep.like the Northern method.
I've used small pebbles to knock the big stuff loose.
Then plastic coat the tank.. I know old school
BTW while the tank is out it might be a good time to increase the outlet size.
Bye Bye sock, filter or what ever you want to call that restriction.

I used the Eastwood kit.
Bead blasted the outside, gas welded a few nasty holes. The really tiny ones will seal up with the kit.
Took out the loose rust with some pea gravel, it works great, I didn't have to use much of the metal etching stuff.
It stinks and takes a long time to dry - you really do want to do it outside.

That was about a year ago - no leaks yet!

I used the Eastwood kit. Bought all of the suggested chemicals at my local Ace Hardware store. It worked perfectly.
