Unanswered: After market fuel tanks

Who's got some examples of after market fuel tanks for GT's? I figure that some of you racer guys must've replaced them with fiberglass or some other type. My new GT has an altered, flat, recessed fill hole and I'm gonna have to get creative getting the filler neck to line up. I've had tanks relined but I still get crumbly bits from the rotted baffles at the top of the tanks in my fuel filters.

There's got to be a reasonably workable replacement out there that someone has used. Any ideas or examples?

i think the racers have to use a small fuel cell type tank fine for short runs but would need VERY careful planning for a long trip to find gas stations

may be easier to take your old tank to a fab shop and have them make one up for you if you want new one

Back in my more creative days, we made one out of T-6 aluminum that fit in the space provided (stock location) and used the stock sending unit. Welded a bung in the bottom with a AN fitting and ran braided stainless line to a chassis filter then to a inline filter before the carburator. Made a real nice neat setup that was trouble free. Pretty labor intensive but you only have to have one, it will last longer than the car will
