how to restore an European GT

Saw this on the german Forum. Scroll down (or up in this case) the page http://www.forennet.org/forum/displa...79.html#942079 and see the difference between a californian GT and an european one...

    Dedication

After seeing what was done, I don't think anyone here should complain about rust and restoration. Great post to show how much appeal the Gt has. That shows true dedication on Joachim -GT-73s part.

You're right guys, and I thought Willit? was in bad shape before I started. I just didn't know how lucky I was after it was sitting on the beach for 8 years. WOW!!!

This does not surprizzzzzze me since that is what we do to a vehicle when it comes in. We are looking at about 6-8 months of work and approx. $30K to do all of the work this guy did.

I had a '72 cutlass 442 come in that we had to replace every body panel on it except the roof. The man spent over $60K restoring the vehicle and was sold at auction for $120K since it was a rare production unit.
