1974 Opel Manta w/ Factory Sunroof
Richmond Virginia - $2500 1-804-501-9610 STRAIGHT Body and NO RUST - Working Sunroof Dash is crack free and straight Engine and engine bay is clean New Valve Cover & Intake Gasket New hoses - ALL Radiator, Heater and Vacuum lines.. New clamps New brakes Replaced clutch cable (with good used one) Reconditioned rims and center caps New Tires New Battery Check my photo gallery.. GoinManta Gallery - Opel Photo Gallery Issues: Rear Pinon Bearing could probably be replaced OR the tires although new are really loud.. hard one to judge. Engine compression is 120-130 PSI across the board. But it has a good deal of blow-by, pretty sure its the valve stem seals. Headliner is missing, and seats need covering. Weber rebuilt and runs very well, it holds a smooth idle at 700 rpm, but has had a "racetep" modification, so secondary is weak. Gets good acceleration and gas mileage though. Just doesnt have much top end power.. Although that may just be the fact all my Opel engines are modified and high compression and I havent driven a low compression motor in a long time that ran in such good condition. So its only problem may be the fact its a low compression motor. Paint is good from 5-10 feet.. but its a thin bronze paint job over a rallye gold paint so scratches show up yellow.. so a paint job wouldn't hurt. That said its straight and rust free and all the chrome molding is on it and striaght as well.. so wont be expensive to get painted. Thats about it.. After I was done with the mechanicals my youngest brother-in-law got called to Iraq and had to commute 70 miles to base everyday while his reserve unit readyed for the trip. So it has been driven about 1500 miles and broke in well.. I would trust it to go anywhere. Only reason I didnt bring to Carlilse was it has no radio and with three people it would have been really crowded. Charles Last edited by GoinManta; 05-25-2007 at 01:36 AM. |

I know it's a little off topic, but for those who are interested: a Dutch site with GT's for sale (including a combi!). In this way you're able to compare the prices in the US with those in Holland ( 1,33 $ = 1 euro )
