    can anyone tell me how hard it is to rebuild the carb. on the opel gt and what kind of carb. it should have

    The stock carb is a solex 2 bbl, but, it could have a replacement weber 32/36. Both are rebuildable, but, the weber is a better carb. It's not hard to rebuild them, there are exploded diagrams on the net that you can download.

    Rebuild

    You know, I thought it would be absolute HELL to rebuild a carb, but I took the plunge and rebuilt my 32/36 and it was a breeezzeeee. I guess if you have a mechanical knack and love tearing stuff apart and cleaning it, its more fun then work. And let me tell you, I enjoyed every second of it... But I absolutely loved putting it back on and having the car fire up and run with no problems at all...

    I didnt use any instructions or diagrams, just a bit of memory on how stuff came apart and should go back together...

    Currently in Daytona Beach, FL working towards my Bachelor's in Aeronautical Sciences (Professional Pilot).
