    Powder Coated Rims

Attached is a picture (if the attachment works) of a freshly powder coated rim on my 71 gt. All 5 rims sandblasted and powder coated professionally for $140. Couldn't touch new rims for that. They turned out great and have helped maintain the original look. More pictures of the entire car to come soon.

Man that looks so good I may have to powdercoat my Kadett rims nice to not have them scratch and chip easily. Especially when putting on and off the trim rings so often.

I'm having a set of ATS rims powder coated by a GA Opel member. He has his own outfit to do so. I have 3 of the wheels so far and they look AWESOME

Powdercoating is the way to go. It so durable and looks fantastic. I'm a full-gloss black fan but the silver and reflective chrome (like these wheels) look great.

    jrohr- your wheels look great.

The same "guy" that did my uncle's ATS' did the Shelby Slotted Mags and the front suspension for my GT. They all look great too. They look so good I'm going to get the front suspension for my Manta, a set of Rally wheels, and anything else I can think of powdercoated by John, that is if he doesn't get too busy.

Where did you get the powder coat work done? I bought a powder coated dress up kit for my GT and the work was poor and the parts started to rust less than a year after they were installd.

It was a local shop here. The place is Leon's Welding and Fabrication. 785-625-5736.1235 Munjor Rd., Hays, Ks. Took the rims in one afternoon and had them back the next morning. He does everything from large to small. He has an oven capable of holding frames, trailers, and other large items. The coating seems pretty durable so far. As bad as they looked when I took them in, I am really pleased.
