I have searched, and found nothing.
I was considering posting this in the headlight thread, but I didn't want to bring that one off topic as I believe (hope) that there are plenty of headlight mods to be seen. So here goes; What about rear-end conversions on the Opel GT ??? I have scoured Yahoo and Googles images but as 99% of all photos are from the front/side one doesn't see much of the BACK of the cars and I would love to see if there are any rear-end custom jobs. I love the Corvette, but feel that the Opel GT is more than a Corvette copy or mini-Vette (or whatever people tend to call it) and I am considering different options to make mine a little less mainstream. I am getting a lot of inspiration from 1960's Italy... I hasten to add that I am NOT trying to make a replica of something else, rather trying to get away from the extreme Corvette likeness. Any images of rear-end convertions will be gratefully received! |

He he, I have worked on a Aston Martin DB4 and the amount of stuff they've pinched from Bedfords, Minis and the like. And people hail that as some exclusive car. The only impressive thing about that car is the hand-hammered frontend, for the rest of it one might as well have a Vauxhall Firenza, looks better too!!

I beg to differ, The Opel GT should have what ever lights the vehicle designer deems appropriate. In my case, I have extended bumpers and a flat rear deck so the square lights complement the stance of the car. There was also a different light arangement from a Camaro I wanted to use but later found out they were very expensive.
In any event, I wanted more chrome in the rear so the lights I chose do look good on the car when completed. |

I'm a little new to the GT seeing as this is my first GT and I've only had it about a month, though I've had 5 Opel Rekord C, 1 Opel Commodore A and 2 Kadett B (one a 1970 Kadett Rallye). This car is infinitely more customizable.
