Manta GTE

Hello all,

I'm visiting a body shop tomorrow to inquire about painting my Manta. I've looked through the gallery and searched the internet for a good picture of a signal blue Manta in GTE trim so that I can show the shop what I'm after - does anyone have a pic or know where I can find one? I could have sworn there was one posted on here not that long ago, but I cannot find it. I have other pictures of various GTE trim details, but it would be good to show him the car in the proper color and trim, if possible. Alternatively, if anyone has or knows of a good quality picture that shows good detail I would appreciate those as well.

Todd,
I think I still have some stripe pics in my gallery.
Wolfgang can supply the correct GT/E decals and stripe kit if you don't want to paint...
The GT/E scheme has a different treatment for the hood and front panel compared to the Rallye...personally I prefer the Rallye version with the black covering half of the top of the fenders, and a little more colour showing on the nose.
Whatever way you go, I'm sure it will look good...

Actually, I have a GTE stripe kit and will be sending it to Stripeman.com soon so it can be added to his gallery of other Opel stripes. Thanks for the tip on checking your gallery - I'll check it out!

Here's what I've been looking for. On this example, I actually like the gloss black hood. My hood may need replacing, so if anyone out there has a really nice one please let me know.

The hood should be semi-gloss.

Agreed, they were originally in semi-gloss, however after seeing the blue example I'm leaning toward the gloss over black. Still looking for some good high resolution pictures so if anyone has or knows of some good examples I'd really appreciate it if they could be sent my way.

Pete Linsson's ITB racing Manta was 'done up' in the GT/E scheme. He posted a lot of nice pics in his album.
