John, those are NOS GT parts up for grabs in the San Fernando Area of Los Angeles, they are on Craig's list for $800.

There are some people with some good eyes here, or some hi-res screens. John was joking. I can't tell if there is much of anything NOS, there is some new items, and at least most of it looks like good items even if they're not new.

I was just going by the title on the Craig List ad, He states "Opel GT Parts, new, Original - $800". So it's the old buyer beware thing.

OK Michael, I can guess that "racest" might mean "racist". But does "iregant" mean "arrogant"?

I'm in the deepest south here in the states, Florida.
GTJim might be the farthest south, in the Opel world!?
Hope the "trashyness" rating is not just based on how far South you are, or we are in trouble!
I do collect a lot of good Opel trash, drink beer, have car stuff on my kitchen table at times, like my women a little on the trashy side......
Hey, I guess I am Southern trash.

Since this is a Southern thread now, I guess the title is okay to keep as well

I am certainly glad I'm southern trash and dim witted, other wise I might be stuck in the industrial polluted, crappy weather, over taxed north east in a house that is about 3 times as much as in the south and riding around in a car with rust holes big enough to throw a cat through (if cat throwing is your thing) but personally I have lost nothing north of Baltimore, Md. that I need to go find after October 1 I am not a racist or anything along those lines but it just frost my gonads (southern saying) that we are bunched in a clasification that because we live where we choose that we can't pour urine out of a boot without instructions printed on the heel (another southern saying)

I LOVE that one!!! Being from Kansas, I've had my share of mocking from people in those less-informed, full-of-themselves locations. If only I had a dollar for every time I've been asked, "uh, where's Toto?"
So, I've developed a philosophy about all this, and am actually thrilled that coastal folks still seem to think we don't have TV, internet, or cars in these parts. If we can keep making them think that, they'll never want to live here. It really helps keep the riff-raff out, and the good, decent people in
So, keep the backwoods, southern, hillbilly, prairie rat jokes and sneers coming!!

I do believe the misconception of the folks in the South has been perpetuated by the media programming. How many times do you see the "not so swooft" person have a southern accent, or the "good ol' boy" casting. So much so, that the folks in the South begin to believe it. Margaret's daughter's in-laws came out here for a visit and introduced themsevlves as the "dumb hillbillies" from Tennessee. Nothing could have been farther than the truth. On the trips we've made to the southeast, I've seen more friendly folks there, than are here in SoCal.
