I might ask why the car was stored for so long and driven so little. And, how many people would have a heated garage? I don't know of any, yet. She might think it's priceless though. It might be nice to look at, but chances are it isn't ready for the road and would need quite a bit of going over and work to get it ready. What else can you tell us about it?

I remember that car. Wondered what ever happened to it. Had a DisneyLand sticker on the rear bumper. I bet that guy will want 20K for it. I know Opel Jim made an offer on it and was turned down. Don't know what he offered, but the guy wouldn't take it. And everyone knows, Opel Jim is rich.

I saw the car appr one year ago.
The asking price was 19k. Car is not bad, but you have to replace alot of parts due to the long storage. Most of all rubber parts (hoses, tires, fuel lines, etc ) are britty, ..it was not possible to start the engine, etc.. Headliner has fadings, some (minor) surface corrosion... Body has ugly black Rallye stripes on both sides. From my point of view it is not possible to remove the stripe w/o demage the paint. After one sleepless night I decided to do not purchase the car. We've had this discussion before......While at one end of the spectrum, its a fantastic car....all original, unmolested etc. BUT......with that goes all the woes of a car thats been sitting for a LONG time, seized brakes, stuck motor/bad gaskets, rubber, you name it. 19k for a car that belongs in a museum and never be on the road is too much $$$ in my eyes. The owner asked us what the best option to do with it would be,and we replied to find original OEM equipment to get it back on the road(or at least driveable again) he opted to leave it alone. And thats his decision.... I may have done the same. But I would have put into consideration the $$ needed to get it roadworthy(and to me, this WOULD make it worth more) At this point, and him being a bit of a novice at Opels he's looking for that ONE buyer that just HAS to have this car. Still a nice car...(its an auto though ehhhhhh....) With the economy the way it is right now,I think this car will be sitting for quite some time.
