73 Gt for sale in our classified section
Does anyone have any information on the 73 GT for sale in our classified section? It seems to look good but I was wondering if anyone has seen it or has info on it? I am looking for a Gt to buy. Any help would be appreciated!
It is the 73 Gt in Mi that is Red with a black strip down the center Thanks! Rob Here is what the seller writes: "This is the second time i posted this, but this time it HAS to go. Unfortunately it time that my GT has to go. I have never planed on selling it, but due to tight money, another project, and limited space, i just cant have it around anymore. Some people on here have seen it before, and they have told me it is a very nice car. The paint on it is about 2 years old now, and is Viper Red with a gloss black stripe. Its not absolutely perfect, but it is very nice. It has some chips around the headlight area from installing them, but are only noticeable if u get close. The interior of the car is in decent shape, it does need a new shifter boot, but seat and carpet wise it is nice. The seats are not torn besides a small seam separation on the drivers seat. The wheels are outlaw knockoffs but still look decent, the tires are brand new and dont have over 1000 miles on them. it is a very nice running car, i have taken it and many trips with out problem. IT does run good, but just recently has started to puff a bit of smoke on the start up, but none after that. i have had the head off of the car to install a cam, and everything seems clean. The engine does have a Cam, Weber carb, header, and crane electronic ignition. and like i said it has been very reliable. It has no oil leaks either. The only leak it does have is from the trans, and it is minor. The trans shifts great too. I would say the main concerns i have with the car, that i have not addressed is that the drivers side floor does need some repair work, it has a decent amount of rust. and also the brakes. Dont get me wrong, it stops fine, but since i have had the car i have done nothing with them, last time i checked the pads was about a year ago, and they had about half life left on them. Like i said, the car is nice but not perfect, and it was my first car. I hate to get rid of it, and i wouldn’t, but i just cant have it around anymore. It would be good for some one who wants a small restoration on a car. The car comes with some extra parts and a spare 1.9. The head was recently redone. but needs vavle seals, thats it. the head is off the block. If you have any more questions about the car, please send me a PM Thanks Chris |

GTs come along pretty frequently through ebay, craigslist, collectorcartrader, and the ad board. Something good will eventually come through if your both patient and diligent. Sometimes you might have to do a little driving to pick-up a very good example, but they're out there.

I believe that is the car that belongs to CoolCrisp. I saw it at Carlisle a couple of years ago. It looked like a great car. I did not however, look closely at understructure or mechanicals.
Chris was a nice guy. I'd suggest calling him on the phone for more particulars and then taking a look at it. |
