Phoenix, only one minor discrepancy that I noted on all three PDF files. Classicopels.com is not the URL of this site. Which I believe needs to be shown to publicize this forum.

I was using OpelGT.com until Todd told me about Classicopels.com. I can put OpelGT.com on the designs but it won't be until Monday. I'm leaving for NC today after work.

Just noticed that the color on the Manta is not true black, something which I'll will have to fix, otherwise the shirts will look funky. Sorry guys. Todd actually asked me about making some colorized opels as well, so you might want to stay tuned anyway.

I haven't forgotten about these designs but I cannot get to a computer with Illustrator right now. My GT needs a master cylinder. If Redskinsjbs has lost interest in them, then I will put all the designs on Cafepress and Kadett owners will have their own shirt design as well as the 4 models on a design, and a few variations including colorized versions. If you would like to see a specific color, let me know, even if you just want to see what it would look like.

Hi Phoenix,
I'd like to submit this idea for review. It's the same layout you worked up before just with a text change. Cliff

Okay well that didn't seem to generate any immediate buzz, so....

I'm pretty sure that is what my uncle has wanted for a few years and the reason that I did redid the design in the first place. I think that he will be very happy. Do you have capabilities to make T-shirts as well or just know someone?

t-shirts
Tony, your Uncle is already a happy man...I sent him one like the pics week or so ago...He was wearing it when I called day or two later to see if it arrived..lol I did these with a new plotter cut iron on material...supposed to be really top of the line stuff...cut them on the plotter then heat pressed them on the t's....I have a goof friend in the Ind. park here that prints and embroiders on shirts and jackets...he was really impressed with the shirts
Been asked by a few to do the same with the Manta & Rallye but I don't have the artwork or any good pics to scan from...any help there would be appreciated...but I am working on it SteveG

I just can't get this design out of my head! I think it came out really nice... I'm having one printed at Snapfish Digital Photo Printing, Free Online Photo Albums & Digital Photo Sharing - Snapfish:
I'll send a .jpg of the shirt when I get it.

I was going to take care of you, just still haven't worked out the kinks in my braking system, but I'm very close.

Okay, thanks. I didn't know if there was still any interest in this. I appreciate all the work you've done so far. I'll let you know how the test print looks on a shirt. Good luck with your brakes, I'm getting ready to do mine too.

the product
I was surprised to find the t-shirt in the mail today already and I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It's a dye sublimation print so it looks like it's silkscreened. It was $19.99 + $5 S+H for the best quality shirt (they also have a $12.99 version.) They used the .jpg that I attached in the previous post.
Well, the club doesn't directly profit this way but it could mean attracting more members (and more donations.) Thank you to Tony "Phoenix", and happy Opeling!

Good quality silkscreened shirts can be had for less than $10.
Personally I would prefer the image in the back. (btw, I have been in the printing industry for 25+ years, in case you all ever had any printing related questions)

THanks for posting those pics. Especially the close up. Some of those lines are very close together. I worry that with using a JPEG rather thana vector program that there will be bleeding or "fuzzy" lines and the T-shirt that you had made is very defined.

Sure you're welcome. It came out really sharp considering I uploaded a second generation copy, scanned from an ink-jet print of your art that was mechanically pasted-up with the new text. The exposure was tweaked for minimal line spreading, so the detail held up well. That's the first time I've seen dye-sublimation, I was very impressed with it. For a one-off print it seems like the way to go. But if anyone ever wants to set up a silkscreen run that would be cool too.

Test
I'm working on loading up a shop with images. I'm figuring things out as I go and was only able to load the products with the b/w all image. All the other models have been modified for the shirt and I've even started on colorizing.

Actually at work today I output the films to run some shirts that will benefit the site. I will throw the artwork back at Tony to see if it is OK, then print some and take some pictures over the weekend. I changes it to read OPELGT.COM. Left crest with the GT only and the back with all 4 cars.
